Bikes n Bites – BoxPark
Have you been to Boxpark?
After visiting St. Mary’s church on Christmas Day, I dragged the whole gang to BoxPark in Al Wasl Road for late lunch. This new ‘pop-up’ mall is made of shipping containers and near City Walk. BoxPark has quirky dining options from around the world in a hip, modern setting appealing to residents who want to experience something different. It has some retails outlets and pocket parks for kids and kids at heart to enjoy.
My Christmas OOTD. And my friends always joke that they can’t take a proper photo of me with my eyes open. Oh well…
Jumper suit from New Look. Sandals from Fioni by Payless. And my bag for so many years from Aldo.
And now you know where I got my charm (choz!). Mother dearest!
I like that the restaurants available in BoxPark are different from what you usually see on most establishments in Dubai. There’s no branch of restaurants chains. It might be scary for some which in a way is true as you’re dining to somewhere which is totally unfamiliar. Or it might be an experience that one should try.
At the other end of BoxPark is a funky casual dining restaurant I would assume is popular with bikers aptly called Bikes n Bites.
Condiments is inside a toolbox. Nice concept.
I think I over ordered again. It usually happens when the server is cute and you just keep on saying yes to everything they offer. Even Biel was mesmerized 😂
We started with some warm and soft breads
We had several orders of the same dish. This sweet potato is nice.
Didn’t get the chance to taste this but it was gone in no time which is a good sign.
We had several baskets of chicken. Crispy outside, soft inside.
Don’t be fooled. He just looked unhappy and I thought he was not happy but after a few days he was asking when are we coming back here for the best kid’s pasta.
I usually like shoestring potato fries as long as they are crispy. Sadly, this was not. Maybe it was not served immediately to us.
Good thing that the onion rings were hot and crispy.
And the last dish to be served was the gigantic burger which is as big as my head. We were so full when this arrived that I only had a bite. I will remember to go easy next time to properly enjoy and savour this monstrous dish.
While waiting for our bill to arrived, I took some photos of their merchandise.
And here’s my sister going cray cray. Nothing new.
I know this post is way too late. We are already approaching Valentine’s Day very soon but better late than never baby! Visit Boxpark for more info: http://boxpark.ae/
Enjoy the weekend guys!
