When I was invited for an Asian and Filipino buffet, I know I have to say yes! And if there’s crispy pata on the menu then I’ll come running.
Kris With A View is located at 19th floor of Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel in Karama just opposite of Burjuman Centre.
It’s our first time to try the restaurant but I know that they were serving Pan-Asian dishes before. Now they are re-launching it and serves Filipino dishes as well to attract kabayans.
To be honest, I find Kris With A View to be better value than La Mesa Restaurant in Asiana Hotel. La Mesa might be a few dirhams cheaper but the variety and number of dishes available at Kris With A View is way better. I don’t mind paying AED 99 for it.
These are only some of the dishes that I managed to take photos but they are offering more than what your tummy can take, I promise you.
Of course I have to go straight to the pork section and got my calorie (and cholesterol) fix. If you are reading this and getting hungry, sorry in advance. Can I tell you how crispy those skins were? Ohhhh…. (ok, sorry again!)
I then have to make some major decisions because I know my tummy can’t try everything even if my mind (and mouth) screams more!
Here’s a rundown of the dishes I tried.
Meatballs soup. I had two bowls.
Seafood with black pepper sauce
The staff would roam around and offer fried dishes to guests which is a fantastic idea. Crispy snacks stay crispy because it come straight from the kitchen. I love this concept.
They are also offering drinks in tiny and cute bottles. It’s a hit with the kids
As I said, there were still lot of dishes I missed trying. I never had salad nor dessert. Gibson was raving about their guinataan and I wanted to make my own halo-halo but didn’t get the chance to taste them. Next time, Kris With A View, next time!
The watermelon ice treat is totally ok with me!
And kids got a cute teddy 🙂
