Do you have the feeling that you should be earning more than what you are receiving currently?
Are you always in debt?
Are you struggling from constant emergency expenses that causes havoc to your budget?
You, my friend, is suffering from money blocks. Money blocks are negative thoughts and energy that prevents to achieve your full earning potential. These money blocks are ingrained in you unconsciously by your family, your community and by our society.
These might be in the form of beliefs, limiting thoughts, perception and judgement.
Have you noticed that someone who is already rich tends to get richer and poor people tends to get poorer? I believe the difference is their mindset. Rich people believe that they can easily earn money and achieve more wealth while poor people tends to focus more on thoughts like “I will never get out of debt”, “I cannot afford that” or “I don’t think I deserve it”.
I’m a fairly positive person and I always tell myself that I usually get what I want which is relatively true especially if I concentrate on that particular “thing” for sometime. But how come there are still things elusive to me? I realized that I have my own money blocks to deal with. (more…)
If you don’t know, I have another blog where I write about positivity and personal finance. I started that blog a few months before I even launched Filipina Expat and I am contemplating now of shutting it down. I didn’t renew its domain. I am quite heart broken and sad just thinking that I have to let it go. It’s just that I have to be realistic that I can’t physically and mentally keep up with two blogs considering my full-time job, my mommy duties and daily commuting. I have also other projects in the pipeline that would require great amount of my spare time.
Just to give you a background of what’s in there, my other blog is where I share my tips about saving and paying-off debts based on what I experienced. I also write about how to use positivity to manifest money and abundance. On that blog, I feel that I can inspire fellow Filipinos abroad who are drowning in financial troubles that it’s not the end of the world and through determination and positivity, we can reach our goals. I’m taking a break from my travel posts because I’m itching to let this out. After coming back from our short holiday, I am again on reflection mode (hubby calls it senti mode but reflection mode sounds more mature and intelligent 🙂 ) Is it that time of the month again? Maybe. But entertaining these thoughts give me some kind of direction on how I want to lead my life. It draws me back to what I really want hence having these moments re-focus me to my goals. (more…)
Some holy week reflections I received from World Vision Philippines. Thoughts to ponder while we are all away during the Lenten season. Whatever you are planning to do this Lenten and Spring break, I hope you have a peaceful, relaxing, enjoyable and blessed days ahead!

I have always felt jealous of people who talk about their passion. May it be passion for dancing or motorbike or baking. Anything that keeps them going. I have a former boss who dances tango and is passionate about it. She says dancing makes her alive and young. It gives her great joy whenever she’s on the dance floor. Recently, she starts to train for diving. She’s turning 60 years old. (more…)
I always preach gratitude. To be thankful every day. For grand and simple things. For work, life, safety, food and family. For the sun, rain, penny in your pocket, and for a good hair day. Even when things are not going as planned, still be grateful.
So I thought of blogging 10 good things that made me happy this week. Just like most people, going back to office from a weekend is quite tough (on this part of the world, week starts on a Sunday) so what better way to perk us up than to remember the good things that happened this week. (more…)
I’m a firm believer of Law of Attraction. Basically, it is the philosophy that like attracts like. Whatever you focus on, may it be positive or negative, will happen. If you’re a positive person, positive things happen to you. if you dwell on negative thoughts, then don’t be surprised that everything goes downhill. Instead of thinking “It’s difficult” or “I don’t have money” or “It’s impossible”, focus on phrases such as “I’m grateful”, “I love my life” and “Everything is possible” because it is. (more…)
I learned about World Vision from a previous colleague. She just mentioned that she’s sponsoring a child and from there I made my own research.
World Vision is a humanitarian organization with presence all over the world with more than 60 years of experience in helping. They work with families, children, and their communities. They have so many causes such as giving clean water, clothing and shelter, ending hunger, education, women and children advocacy and the like, and all are child focus. (more…)
