Until when do you want to stay in Dubai?

Until when do you want to stay in Dubai?

I’m taking a break from my travel posts because I’m itching to let this out. After coming back from our short holiday, I am again on reflection mode (hubby calls it senti mode but reflection mode sounds more mature and intelligent 🙂 ) Is it that time of the month again? Maybe. But entertaining these thoughts give me some kind of direction on how I want to lead my life. It draws me back to what I really want hence having these moments re-focus me to my goals.  (more…)

Why a European holiday is a great idea while you are in Dubai

Why a European holiday is a great idea while you are in Dubai

Don’t be fooled. I also have the weirdo poses while thereWhy a European holiday is a great idea while in Dubai

Before I continue our Austria-Italy trip (you can read the Vienna adventures here, and the Venice on this post), it would be useful if I can give some details on how we prepared for our holiday because ‘sharing is caring’.

I truly believe that traveling to foreign countries is not only for those who have money. Well, yes, you will need cash to buy your tickets, find a place to stay and to eat, but you won’t need a LOT of money to enjoy other countries. The only thing you will need to have is the DESIRE. If you want it, you will definitely have/experience it. NO DOUBT. I know, I’m channeling my Oprah-esque lines here.

The Aldub Fever

The Albub Fever

Ok, before you hail me as the president of Aldub fan club in the UAE, I’ll be honest. I only watch the Kalyeserye episodes every Saturday (and even sometimes miss it) because A.) I don’t have the time and B.) I feel that the interesting episodes only happen during Saturdays. Of course I might be wrong but I think there’s majority of fans who falls under the same category.

I was able to watch the first time Yaya Dub saw Alden. It’s not scripted and her reaction was too cute. It seems that she has real-life crush on Alden. That day, she was doing her Dubsmash routine when she saw Alden via split screen and breaks out of her non-smiling character. Yiiihhh! 👫

World Vision is a humanitarian organization with presence all over the world with more than 60 years of experience in helping. They work with families, children, and their communities. They have so many causes such as giving clean water, clothing and shelter, ending hunger, education, women and children advocacy and the like, and all are child focus. (more…)

My other blog

My other blog

I actually have another blog, www.youdeserveit.me which is where I am writing my thoughts about personal finance, savings, positivity, and everything else in between. I created this blog with the intention of just writing anything that I can think of. KSP lang. But then, when I’ve noticed that people are actually reading it, I realized that they might have found some sense on what I am writing and I could be of help to them. But I still want to talk about my travels, my food adventures, and my kids. So what can I do? The solution – create another blog and that’s how Filipina Expat was born.

What Filipinos Should Expect Living in Dubai?

What Filipinos Should Expect Living in Dubai?

We might have different reasons why we took that brave move to fly in another country and live thousands of miles away from home. Either we are looking for adventure – new scenery, new life, new people, new environment. It might be a career move for some. Or the constant search for greener pastures and improve our quality of life.

Although our mind is already set with the move, it can’t be avoided that we will feel anxious, uncertain and doubtful if our decision is correct. Assimilating to a new country is not easy. Different culture, different language and you shouldn’t expect that life will be oh so rosy! You need to research about the country and see if you will still be interested once the excitement wears off. (more…)
